My mom, Fran, playing the piano with my son, Jake, sitting by.
My mom, Fran Cooper, had a beautiful voice heard throughout her nursing home. Many of the residents made song requests, and Mom had a solo part in the Christmas pageant. This audio was recorded just before her Alzheimer’s diagnosis with Mom singing and playing the piano. Since this is a home recording, the audio is one track running 34 minutes. Listen to one or more of the thirteen tracks below. As Mom liked to say, “If you don’t use music, you lose music.” I bet she’s singing in the heavenly chorus right now!

Ron, thank you for sharing. What an angelic voice. Her music just soothed my soul. This is the most relaxed I have been in quite a while. Again, thank you for sharing this beautiful gift.
Debbie, my thanks goes out to you for your kind words about Mom. I believe she is singing with the heavenly chorus now, and I’m so glad that her singing has brought you peace and calm.
Ron, certainly your mother had a God given talent and how wonderful she shared with those in the nursing homes. Debbie took my word; soothing, and so heartfelt. Thank you so much for sharing and I am anxious to get the book. You were inspired by an angel.
Janet, I really appreciate your heartfelt comments about my Mom and her unique talent as a singer, a talent she displayed even during her darkest hours. I love your closing phrase, “You were inspired by an angel.” Take the very best of care!
That was beautiful!
She has such a lovely voice. Her voice is so relaxing and calming! Thank you for sharing this with me. Heaven has a beautiful angel singing praises!
Thanks so much for your lovely words, Connie. At the nursing home, Mom sang hymns and popular songs to the residents and staff. She often sang “Amazing Grace”. She’s singing in the heavenly chorus now!
